She has witnessed the power of women to achieve change.

Outspoken is a memoir of Afghanistan’s Sima Samar: medical doctor, public official, founder of schools and hospitals, nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize, and a continued advocate of women and girls. Sima has all the inside stories about the dishonesty and corruption within Afghanistan. As a former minister in the Afghan government, she knows many of the key players and dynamics of modern Afghanistan.
