About Art and Activism with Kat Burns

Discover the power of mixed media as a tool for self-expression and activism in this dynamic course with artist Kat Burns. Through an open-studio and collaborative approach, you’ll explore the history of mixed media in both traditional art and activism, reflecting on how art can challenge norms and spark conversation. Using pen, ink, and printed materials, you’ll create a body of work that speaks to personal and societal issues, finding your voice through art. No prior experience required. Just bring your creativity and a willingness to experiment!

Age range – 18+

4 Monday mornings from 10 AM-12 PM: March 24th, March 31st, April 7th and 14th, 2025 at the County Arts Lab, Unit 2E, Picton Armoury Building.
