About ART ON THE TRENT - Submissions
Call for Artists: Art on the Trent – Indigenous Art: A Celebration of History & Culture
The City of Quinte West is proud to announce the upcoming instalment of the Art on the Trent exhibit. For Spring 2026, we are seeking to feature Indigenous artists from the Bay of Quinte region under the theme: Indigenous Art: A Celebration of History & Culture.
Exhibit Details:
Locations: 16 outdoor panels located in Centennial Park, Riverfront Square (Trenton), and Frankford Tourist Park.
Format: The panels feature high-resolution photographs of original works. Original artwork is photographed only, and otherwise remains with the artist.
Specifications: Submissions must be suitable for high-quality photography and fit a square panel. While 2D work is preferred, we are open to discussing exceptions for 3D pieces that can be clearly photographed.
Submission Deadline: February 16, 2026.
Submission Requirements: Artists are to include the following with their entry:
Artist name and a brief artist biography (max 50 words).
Artwork title, style (e.g., surrealism, impressionist), and medium (acrylic, mixed media, etc.)
A brief description of the piece (max 50 words).
Note: There is no fee to participate. As this is a public art installation intended to celebrate regional talent, works are not offered for sale on-site; however, the exhibit provides visibility for the participating artists.
