This play won the 2013 Tony award for Best Play. This comedy is a great way to start the season with six distinct characters who are both familiar and fresh. All are welcome to audition. No experience is necessary.
Roles required are as follows:
Vanya- male, mid 50s to 65, lives with his sister in their late parents' home
Sonia- female, late 40s to early 60s, still lives at home with Vanya
Masha- female, glamourous, slightly faded movie actress, mid-to late 50s or 60s
Spike- male, late 20s, early 30s actor who is very vain and fit
Nina- female, early 20s, visiting her grandparents, wants to be an actress
Cassandra- female, aged 20 to 70, cleaning lady, has a big personality
