About Back Of Hoards Station

Canada’s only horse-drawn theatre caravan is touring the County with live performances at every stop! Station Road Arts presents Theatre Roulant, the County’s very own summer stage that’s headed your way! Take in the locally inspired original stage play, Back of Hoards Station, the lesser-known story that many tried to forget.
Elizabeth’s first trip to a year-round rural livestock auction was an attempt to rescue a newfound animal friend. The auction being cancelled that day provided a brief reprieve. She never expected that a vacant auction hall would transform into a spiralling rabbit hole, holding her captive while taking her into the depths of generational family trauma.
Back of Hoards Station is an amazing story of rural life, its rhythms, rituals and relationships. An exploration of what it means to have family connections cut, and how those severances echo through to following generations.
