About Katy Plaus

Miss Katy has been dancing for as long as she can remember. A former competitive dancer herself, she went on to freelance teach and choreograph at studios across the province for nearly a decade, before opening her own studio in 2010. Her teams competed at the provincial, national and international levels - participating in such events as the International Dance Organization's World Championship in Europe, the Toronto International Dance Festival and even performing at halftime for the Toronto Raptors! In 2018 Miss Katy felt called in a new direction - she returned to school, completing her Bachelor of Education at Trent University, and pursued her dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. Her journey has led her to Prince Edward County. She now lives in Picton and teaches Grade 6 at PECI.
