About Bookbinding with Lucy Sterezylo
Join artist instructor Lucy Sterezylo for an Introduction to Bookbinding course. Learn foundational bookmaking skills and explore various methods for making beautiful hand-bound books.
During this 6-week course participants will be introduced to bookmaking through various types of binding, including folded, non-adhesive, stitched and hard-covered books. Each week we will build on the skills learned in the previous session, ending with the completion of a coptic-stitched hard-covered book. At the workshop's conclusion, participants will have gained the skills needed to make other handmade books as they continue their bookbinding exploration. Participants will take away a set of 6 unique books made throughout the course that can be used for journaling, drawing, sketching, or anything else you can dream of! No prior experience required, all materials provided.
Sliding Scale $120-$240 for 6 weeks
