About Call for Quinte Artists!

One long standing Quinte business means business when it comes to art, community and growth.

Strong Enterprises announces today three significant developments; the completion of a new 15,000 sq ft headquarters (55 Jack Ellis Way, Belleville, ON), a call for public art submissions for the new space and a rebrand for its institutional, commercial and industrial construction firm Strong Bros General Contracting, unveiling a new visual identity, logo and website.

Call for Public Art Submissions - calling all Quinte artists!

Strong Enterprises is seeking artists from the Quinte region to enhance the visual and cultural appeal of its new headquarters. The company plans to commission three original art pieces that embody the themes of "Innovation," "Community," and "Heritage." Artists are encouraged to submit proposals by August 13, 2024.

Selected artworks will be showcased in the main lobby, the outdoor entrance plaza, and the executive conference room. The value of the art commissions is significant, with fees ranging from $2,000 to $15,000, and a total investment of $31,000 in commissioned art. This investment underscores Strong Enterprises' commitment to creative placemaking—an approach that integrates art and culture into community spaces to foster engagement and reflect local values and identity.

"We want our headquarters to reflect our commitment to innovation, community, and our rich heritage," said Justin Strong, CEO of Strong Enterprises. "This is an exciting opportunity for local artists to contribute to a landmark that will be a focal point for our company and the community."
