About Ceremonial Celebration of Indigenous Peoples Presents Orange Shirt Day: Social Picnic Gathering

215+ unmarked graves of Indigenous Children were announced publicly. Canada has named September 30th as the day for Truth and Reconciliation. However, Canada has not done what is required for National Truth and Reconciliation. There will be FREE refreshments, drumming, singing, stories, crafts and a SILENT AUCTION featuring works from multiple local Indigenous Artists.
They will also be collecting items such as: blankets/sleeping bags, socks, hygiene products (feminine and general), outdoor cookware, tarps and tents, for our less privileged Indigenous Community Members.
FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT!!!
Please feel free to bring food or drinks to share!! All proceeds will be donated to the ‘Indian Residential School Survivors Society’ and to a fairly local (Havelock) Ceremonial Lodge that suffered a disastrous Tornado in May.
