About Fiona Campbell Writers Workshop at Quinte Arts Fest

Fiona Campbell is an experienced writer and editor, amateur photographer and passionate storyteller with more than two decades of experience in journalism and communications. Curious by nature, Fiona brings a keen eye for detail, a love of language and a genuine passion for telling stories that connect people to each other and the world around them.

She has written for national magazines and websites, covering everything from personal finance to nature, food and farming, green living, the arts, and the people and places that make communities unique. She is currently a senior staff writer with Forbes Advisor Canada, and continues to freelance and write stories that interest her.

Many in the Quinte region will also know Fiona through her time with the Quinte Arts Council, where she first served as a board member before joining the staff as Director of Communications & Outreach.

A lifelong adventurer with a deep interest in the environment and social justice, Fiona is also an avid runner and hiker. She is happiest exploring the outdoors—whether close to home or venturing into the wilderness. (Next up: running 209 miles across Iceland!)

Fiona holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of King’s College, where she started writing a collection of essays on the intersection of food, farming and family. She also has a BAA in Journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), and an Honours BA in International Development from the University of Guelph.

Quinte Arts Fest is sponsored in part by Experience Ontario
