About Fishing | Autumn Ducharme
Please join us for "Fishing," a contemplative painting exhibition by visual artist Autumn Ducharme, running from December 6–29 at Melt Studio + Gallery in Picton. Inspired by her environment and concepts of home, Autumn's work explores the relationships between living beings, land, and water, using collage and improvised methods to evoke deep, reflective states. These paintings are inspired by a recent trip to Brazil, where Ducharme volunteered at a reforestation project in the mountains. This exhibition seeks to raise awareness to the climate challenges impacting Brazilian communities, from extreme droughts in the Amazon to severe flooding in Southern Brazil.
Opening reception: December 7, 1–4 pm. All are welcome!
A portion of proceeds will support climate recovery efforts in Brazil.
