About Foraged Collage with Megan Fitzgerald

How do you experience the place that surrounds you? In Foraged Collage, join artist instructor Megan Fitzgerald to create collages using mixed media materials and objects and plants found during collective walks. Each class will start with plein-air exercises, tuning in to the environment and collecting material for the daily project. Back in the studio, new techniques will be explored such as handmade inks, gel image transfers, monoprints, alternative mark making, abstract collage, and
effective tools for layering mixed media. By the end of the course, you will have a cohesive series of expressive collages and plenty of inspiration for future projects. This course is suitable for those just starting their artist journey and for advanced students.

Please Note: This class involves short nature walks outside of the lab space. We are committed to providing an accessible environment in which all individuals have equal access to County Arts Lab programming in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. Please let us know of any accommodations that County Arts Lab participants with disabilities may require. Get in touch with Programs Manager Stacey Sproule stacey@countyarts.ca with any accessibility concerns and we will endeavour to make accommodations.

Sliding Scale Pricing- $125-$250 for 5 weeks plus materials fee.
