About FREE PREVENTATIVE DAY AT TRENTON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
The goal for our free preventative days program is to provide residents of the Bay of Quinte with an oral wellness check, oral cancer screening and one Prevora Treatment. ($150.00 value)
This project was created as a way to introduce the Bay of Quinte residents to Prevora and the benefits it offers to reducing dysbiosis within the oral cavity. Dysbiosis, is an imbalance in the oral microbiome or ecosystem, that can lead to various health issues ranging from common dental problems such as cavities and gum disease to severe conditions such as heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes.
GFTH applied for a grant in October 2023 with the Kay Stafford Memorial Fund to offer no-cost opportunities for residents of the Bay of Quinte to receive one treatment that research has proven will lower the dysbiosis by up to 60%. This helps reduce the incidence of tooth decay, gum disease and improve overall health. In June 2024, GFTH was awarded $9500 to put towards this project.
