About Friday Morning Dance Fit

Warm up Friday morning with an eclectic dance fitness class.

Nia is a barefoot dance fitness practice that combines elements of modern dance, martial arts and healing arts. This program is all about fun, movement and inclusivity. It’s appropriate for all ages and fitness levels and fuses many dance styles and mindfulness practices with an eclectic mix of music to promote strength, flexibility, agility and mind-body connection. This is a dance fitness class for everyone! All ages & all fitness levels welcome.

Fridays. January 19, 26 February 9, 16, 23, March 1, & 8, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. (No classes on February 2)

This 7-week class is $77 per person. Tickets for individual classes are also available.

About Your Instructor, Lesha Skupien

Lesha is a dance instructor with a background in the Nia Technique (which combines modern dance with martial arts) and Ukrainian folk dance. She moved to the area in 2020 from British Columbia where she had been teaching classes since 2015 for adults, children and seniors at private studios and community centers. She is passionate about dance as a way to heal and celebrate life. In addition to her role at Baxter Arts, Lesha is a staff instructor at the Belleville YMCA.
