About Get a Move On with Allison Nichol Longtin (Ages 9-12)
In this 4-week dance workshop series with artist facilitator Allison Nichol Longtin, our imaginations will be our guides. No technique here, only age-appropriate dance games, structured improvisations, and fun moving to different kinds of music. Together we’ll explore elements of dance making, including tempo, levels, shapes, and movement qualities through playful and theatrical experiments. We’ll even dance our feelings. No dance experience required; just a love of music and movement. Let’s dance!
For ages 9-12 from 11:15 AM-12:30 PM on the following Sunday mornings: May 19th, 26th, June 2nd & 9th, 2024. Location – The County Arts Lab, Unit 2E, Picton Armoury Building.
