About Graduating Students Bursaries OPEN

Each year the Quinte Arts Council awards bursaries to students graduating from secondary schools in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties and proceeding to further education at a university or college in Canada, with the aim of pursuing a career in the arts.
Quinte Arts Council
Each spring the Quinte Arts Council awards two (2) $1,000 bursaries to students graduating from secondary schools in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties and proceeding to further education in the arts, at a university or college in Canada, with the aim of pursuing a career in the arts.
The Hugh P. O’Neil Bursary
The fund was established in 1995 by the Quinte Provincial Liberal Association to recognize the contributions of the late Hugh O’Neil, former MPP, during more than 20 years of political life, and in particular to honour his significant support of the arts both provincially and locally. 2 bursaries at $500 each.
Elaine A Small
Through her lifetime she overcame many obstacles in pursuit of her artistic goals - a singer and author.
Elaine supports young artists as they aim to do the same in pushing boundaries in pursuit of their own dreams in the amount of (1) $1,000 bursary.
Susan Richardson was a well-respected member of the Belleville Choral Society for 39 years, including 15 years the Music Director. In Susan’s honour, this bursary was established - one (1) in the amount of $500.
Anita Binnie
This bursary aims to support and encourage students who demonstrate exceptional talent and dedication in the performing arts. It is awarded to individuals who have shown outstanding promise and commitment to their craft, embodying the spirit and passion that Anita Binnie herself exemplified. One (1) $2,000 bursary is available.
