About Highway to the Sky: Women in Aviation, Past & Present
BASE31 District presents pilot & author Lola Reid Allin.
In her personally narrated PowerPoint presentation, Lola explains the rewards of an aviation career and the challenges women continue to face. She offers several possible reasons why women remain underrepresented in commercial aviation (worldwide, only 5% of pilots are female!) and why aviation and STEM careers lure few women. Lola’s professional associations include the Ninety-Nines International Organization of Women Pilots, Canadian Women in Aviation, and The Writers Union of Canada.
Copies of her memoir, Highway to the Sky: An Aviator's Journey, will be available for purchase.
