About Impressions in relief: 4 week printmaking intensive (Linocut)
Ready to make your mark? Join our four-week immersive workshop and discover the bold, graphic world of relief printmaking. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or haven’t picked up a pencil since grade school, this course is designed for you.
We’ll start with the essentials—mastering carving tools and learning to "see" in high-contrast positive and negative shapes. Don’t worry if you’re nervous about your sketching skills; drawing is completely optional, and we provide a variety of stunning templates to get you carving immediately.
What You’ll Create:
Week 1: Master the basics with a classic black-and-white single block print.
Week 2: Level up with a vibrant two-color puzzle block technique.
Weeks 3 & 4: Dive into the "suicide print" method with a sophisticated multi-layer reduction print.
Leave with a portfolio of original handmade art and the skills to keep printing at home.
What to Expect
Whether you are a seasoned artist or picking up a brush for the first time, our doors are open to everyone. We believe art should be accessible and stress-free, which is why we handle all the logistics for you.
