About Inaugural Textile Art Exhibition: Ravel 2026

June 13 – July 5, 2026

Threads twist, fibres entwine, patterns emerge—and sometimes, they unravel.

Ravel is a group exhibition which invites artists to explore the beauty, complexity, and poetry of textile materials and processes.

As Melt Studio and Gallery’s first ever textile show, we will explore the tactile, the layered, and the transformative—showcasing pieces that reveal the intimate relationship between material, technique, and meaning. Whether through weaving, stitching, knitting, felting, embroidery, or experimental textile practices, the selected works explore ideas of structure, tension, softness, imperfection, and the unexpected journeys of thread and fibre.

Juried from submissions by textile artists from across Canada, this exhibition spans detailed explorations of surface and texture to conceptual investigations of connection, memory, and the stories embedded in material.

The exhibition will run from June 13 to July 5, 2026 at Melt Studio & Gallery, at Base31, Prince Edward County.

In addition, selected artists have been chosen to be part of the Booth Display by Melt Gallery at the Gather in the County Textile show at Crystal Palace on Saturday, June 13, from 10am – 4pm.

Please join us for a public opening reception on Saturday June 20, 2026, from 1–4 pm. All are welcome to attend!
