About Indigo Dyeing and Shibori with Bethany Garner

Join textile and fibre-focused artist educator Bethany Garner for an exciting new course on indigo dyeing and shibori. Learn all about this special blue dye by exploring techniques for dyeing cloth in a variety of ways, including the Japanese art of shibori: a folding and tying technique used to create surface design with indigo dye. Bethany will guide participants through the materials and processes necessary to  make stunning indigo dyed fabrics as well as creating small hand stitched quilt art with the samples dyed in class. No prior experience required; this offering will provide a learning experience for everyone from beginner to seasoned artists.

This is a 3 week course from April 2nd to 23rd, from 12pm to 4pm with no class on Easter Weekend.

Please Note: The County Arts Lab is moving! As of March 29th classes will take place across the hall in unit 1E of the Armoury. Access to this unit is from the outside of the building, at the rear of the building on the side nearest to the library.
