Do you know what goes into making a dance? There are lots of tools in a choreographer’s toolkit. In this six-week course, we’ll explore different ways of moving and dance-making. Through playful structured improvisation, we’ll experiment with inspiration that comes from within, including emotions and our own stories, and from outside, like nature and images of the body in motion. Together, we’ll create an original interdisciplinary choreography over 6 sessions using a variety of media, from dance to video to music to visual art to the written and spoken word. We’ll experiment with all the tools in the toolkit!
No dance experience necessary, just a love of movement and a desire to create in a collaborative environment.
