About Make Your Own Zine: Small Books, Big Ideas with Reem Rizk
Discover the creative world of zines in this hands-on workshop led by writer, publisher, and zine-maker Reem Rizk. Participants will explore the history and culture of self-publishing, learn how to fold and create an accordion zine, and experiment with accessible creative prompts that transform everyday ideas into art.
After creating a quick introductory zine, participants will have time to design a larger personal zine using a variety of provided materials. Whether you’re interested in writing, drawing, collage, comics, poetry, or simply trying something new, this workshop offers a welcoming introduction to one of the most accessible and expressive art forms. No experience necessary.
