About Painting Trip to Eastern Newfoundland
Day 1 (July 18): Arrive in St. John’s, Newfoundland. You’ll be greeted by a local tour guide and taken to your downtown hotel. Early arrivals can explore nearby boutiques and historic attractions. Dinner at Vu Restaurant and a welcome meeting at 7:30 PM. Overnight at Sheraton Hotel.
Day 2 (July 19): Tour St. John’s, including Cape Spear, Quidi Vidi Village, and George Street. Afternoon boat tour in Bulls Bay to see Atlantic Puffins and possibly whales. Breakfast at Sheraton Hotel, lunch TBA, dinner at Merchant Tavern. Painting assignment: Lighthouse.
Day 3 (July 20): Travel to the Southern Shore of the Avalon Peninsula, visiting the Colony of Avalon Archaeology Site. Breakfast at Sheraton Hotel, lunch TBA, dinner at Fish Exchange. Painting assignment: Fishing Boats Offshore.
Day 4 (July 21): Explore Conception Bay, visiting villages like Holyrood and Brigus. Breakfast at Sheraton Hotel, lunch TBA, dinner at Gypsy Tea Room. Painting assignment: Fishing Village.
Day 5 (July 22): Travel to Dildo and then to the Bonavista Peninsula, visiting Trinity. Overnight at Port Union/Trinity Hotel. Breakfast at hotel, lunch TBA, dinner TBA. Painting assignment: Fishing shacks.
Day 6 (July 23): Visit Bonavista and Elliston. Overnight at Port Union/Trinity Hotel. Breakfast at hotel, lunch TBA, dinner TBA. Painting assignment: Cliffs, Coastal Scenery, Sea Birds, or Lighthouse.
Day 7 (July 24): Return to St. John’s. Free afternoon for exploration and shopping. Breakfast at Sheraton Hotel, lunch TBA, dinner at Oliver’s. Painting assignment: Jelly Bean Row Houses.
Day 8 (July 25): Departure day. Breakfast at Sheraton Hotel and airport transfer.
Payment Information:
$3279.30 + 15% HST per person
A non-refundable deposit of $400 is due upon booking
Final payment due on April 21,f 2025
