About PEC Jazz Festival Paul Pandos Bursary
The Paul Pandos Bursary for Music Students was established in 2026 through a gift from the Family and Friends of Paul Pandos. Paul Pandos was a life-long lover of jazz and a long-time friend and fan of the Prince Edward County Jazz Festival.
The Paul Pandos Bursary of $1,000 will be offered annually to a student enrolling in an accredited post-secondary or post-graduate music program.
The bursary is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Preference will be given to students from Prince Edward County, the Bay of Quinte region and the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
The deadline for applications is May 31, 2026.
APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Go to the Paul Pandos Bursary page (https://www.pecjazz.org/bursary.html), download and complete the Application form (PDF). You can enter information directly in the form fields or print and fill the form by hand.
2. Gather the required Supporting Materials outlined on page 2 of the Application form.
3. Email the completed Application form and Supporting Materials to bursary@pecjazz.org.
ASSESSMENT
• Each applicant will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of their submitted application.
• Each submitted application will be evaluated by the PEC Jazz Festival adjudication panel.
• The successful candidate will be notified by email and the awarded bursary will be sent by post or delivered in-person as soon as possible.
• The successful applicant’s name may be shared through press releases or other publicity methods.
