About Pit Crew Workshops
In anticipation of the Bloomfield Soap Box Derby, join us for all things racing!
At each workshop, we'll have a real Soap Box Derby car that will be featured in the races in July! Visitors to the workshop can help design and decorate a car! You can also paint your own pinewood derby car to race on our soon-to-be-completed accessibility ramp! We'll also make flags to cheer on the racers!
This is a drop in program. Join in any time to contribute to painting the derby car.
Sunday, June 23rd from 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM - Join painter Angela Jane Lavender, "mechanic" Malcolm Ross, and Pit Crew Assistant Gaby Cole in painting a Soap Box Derby Car, making flags, and even put together your own mini-soap box car!*
Monday, June 24th from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM - Join printmaker Lucy Sterezylo, local mechanics, and Pit Crew Assistant Gaby Cole in painting a Soap Box Derby Car, making flags, and even put together your own mini-soap box car!*
*Small pinewood derby cars are limited to 6 per day. Please email programs@baxterartscentre.org to hold yours!
