About QAC Cultural Hub Open Door
Quinte Arts Council Open Door
The Quinte Arts Council is pleased to introduce monthly Open Door Hours, an open-door invitation for artists, creatives, arts workers, and community members to connect directly with QAC staff and Board members.
These informal drop-in sessions are designed to create space for conversation, questions, and collaboration. Whether you’re looking for guidance on grants, want to share an idea or challenge, are curious about QAC programs, or simply want to put a face to a name, you’re welcome.
Open Door Hours are a chance to:
Ask questions about QAC programs, opportunities, and services
Share ideas, feedback, or concerns
Explore ways to get involved or collaborate
Connect with fellow artists and the QAC team in a relaxed, supportive setting
No agenda, no presentation — just open dialogue and community connection.
Everyone in the arts community is welcome, at any stage of their creative journey.

To help ground our early conversations, we want to share highlights from the 2025 Quinte Arts Council Community Survey. Artists and arts organizations identified the following as their biggest challenges:
Funding & financial instability (the most frequent concern)
Affordability & economic pressures (cost of living, materials, space)
Limited opportunities and spaces to exhibit, perform, or create
Lack of exposure and public awareness
Isolation and difficulty connecting with other artists
Accessibility and inclusion gaps
Weak arts education in schools
Concerns about AI devaluing human-made art
We are truly grateful for your time, perspective, and commitment. We’re looking forward to working together — and to building something that genuinely reflects and serves the artists of our region.
Looking forward to connecting with you all.
