About Quinte Film Alternative presents CAFÉ DAUGHTER
A fictionalized account of the life of Canadian physician and Senator Lillian Dyck, beginning with her birth as a Chinese and Cree child in a small Saskatchewan town. She is warned not to reveal her indigenous heritage to the wider world. Her teachers and fellow students let her know she’s different. While quietly exploring her Cree roots she befriends a proud Maggie Wolf.
