The plot is simple. An English treasure hunter emerges from jail to resurrect his disparate and eccentric gang, find and sell Etruscan antiquities and kiss poverty goodbye. If it was only that easy.
This film is a dreamy homage to the heights of Italian cinema by Director Alice Rohrwacher. At the same time it directs our thoughts to the serious issue of ethical behavior in the methods that museums employ to acquire their collections.
