A 12-year-old has cobbled together a precarious structure that looks like a normal life to the adults that casually observe her. Georgie (Lola Campbell) lives with an “uncle”, she’s fed and clothed, she’s resourceful, she has enough money. She’s maturely coping with her mother’s death. And then the male (Harris Dickinson) who fathered her shows up. He is unwanted, unneeded and will not go away. Her carefully constructed life faces collapse.
