About Registrations: CreateWell Facilitator Learning Series
Arts-for-wellness facilitation
The Quinte Arts Council invites QAC member artists to register for an upcoming Facilitator Learning Series—designed for those interested in delivering arts-for-wellness sessions as part of the community-based CreateWell program.
Only 8 spots available — early registration is strongly encouraged.
This series will explore what arts-for-wellness facilitation is—and what it is not—while clearly distinguishing between the roles of an art instructor, an arts-for-wellness facilitator, and a mental health professional.
What You’ll Learn
Participants will build foundational skills in inclusive, supportive group facilitation, both generally and within their own artistic practice. Topics include:
- Fostering individual and collective safety
- Establishing group norms
- Creating inclusive, participant-centered prompts
- Designing structured openings and closings
- Holding space with care and intention
- Supporting transitions within sessions
- Fostering connection and community
- Maintaining healthy boundaries
- Understanding referral pathways
- Supporting facilitator self-regulation
What You Can Expect
This is an experiential learning series. Participants will:
- Engage in hands-on arts-for-wellness practices
- Lead mini-sessions with peer feedback
- Participate in reflection and integration circles
- Build confidence before facilitating in the community
Ongoing check-in circles will provide space for reflection, peer support, and creative processing.

- An introduction to the CreateWell arts facilitation model
- A warm, welcoming, and supportive learning environment
- A Facilitator Start-Up Kit with tools and resources
