About Resource Raiser for Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre
Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop at 170 North Front Street in Belleville is hosting a resource raiser to collect much needed resources for Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre (SPWC) for two weeks, from Monday, August 12 to Sunday, August 25.
Wild Birds Unlimited (WBU) will be collecting donations of a range of items needed by SPWC and delivering them to the Wildlife Centre by the end of the month. SPWC receives no government funding and relies on generous donations to help with their rehabilitation work. Their wish list, which can be found at WBU in store or on their website (wbu.com/Belleville), includes a variety of foods and cleaning supplies such as:
• Wild bird seed
• Sunflower seeds
• Dried cranberries & raisins
• Dish soap & laundry detergent
• Paper towel
Wild Birds Unlimited carries a variety of seeds and seed blends that have been specially formulated to attract birds in the Quinte region. Seed blends are mixtures of seeds and nuts that numerous birds will eat. Seed is delivered weekly, so customers get only the freshest bird food possible. In addition, they carry bird feeders, bird houses, and specialty garden and gift items not found elsewhere.
SPWC is a not-for-profit wildlife rehabilitation facility providing care and shelter to any native or migrating wildlife in need, either by injury or by being orphaned. They are located in Napanee, Ontario.
