About SERENDIPITOUS CONNECTIONS
When visual artists get together to improve their skills and critique each other’s work, surprising and good things can happen. That’s the idea behind the show “Serendipitous Connections,” at the Art Gallery of Bancroft. The show highlights the work of the current eight members of the North Hastings-based Photo Group f23, and comprises over 50 photographic images plus a video and music installation built around the photos. Subject matter embraces absurdist portraits, calligraphy in weeds, tongue-in-cheek street scenes, abstract florals, architecture both familiar and unsettling, serene landscapes and wrecking yard beauty.
