The members of Gallery 121 are delighted to invite you to their Summer Show, featuring guest artists Liz Schell and Claudia MacDonald, along with featured member artist Elizabeth Dinkel.
Elizabeth Dinkel is primarily a portrait artist whose skills have developed through formal study and exhibition experience. She studied figurative drawing at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy and completed courses at Western Tech, Central Tech, and Loyalist College. Her work, which includes people, animals, and landscapes, reflects a strong ability to capture both the human figure and the natural world with passion and realism. While pastel is her favourite medium, Elizabeth also works in coloured pencil and oil.
Liz Schell has been a popular featured artist at Gallery 121, drawing returning collectors to view her newest work. Whether showcasing a distinctive jewellery piece, an acrylic painting, or one of her well-known handmade artist dolls, Liz’s work conveys joy, craftsmanship, and close attention to detail.
Claudia MacDonald’s acrylic landscapes are filled with motion and colour, reflecting art pieces that come from the heart rather than from strict realism. Her focus is on feeling rather than representation. Colour, movement, and form emerge organically and invites viewers to bring an emotional interpretation to each piece. Her paintings, including Golden Waves, often focus on calming nature scenes that bring sky, sea, and sand together in quiet peace.
