About Tails from Glanmore: An Immersive Art Experience
Artist Horatio Couldery (1832-1918) portrayed household pets in mischievous or amusing situations, and was praised for his skillful depictions. He trained at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, England - and exhibited his works there. Glanmore now houses 42 of his animal paintings, the largest public collection of his work!
Experience an exclusive Curator's tour of Couldery's work, relax with a cup of tea, and then spend some time with Quinte-based artist Melissa Schatzmann.
Melissa is a celebrated artist and a longtime instructor. She often uses cats and dogs as the subjects in her realistic pencil-drawing classes. While at Glanmore, you will receive an introductory lesson in this medium and will take home a custom art kit!
This is the perfect museum visit for animal-lovers! With each registration, Glanmore will make a donation to Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward.
This is a program for adults and youth (16+). Drawing experience is not required and art supplies will be provided. Only 6 spots available!
Please note: During the drawing lesson, face masks are required.
