About Tell Your Story: A Wee Course on Writing Short Plays with Jeremy Smith
- 6 week course on Tuesdays from 10am-11:30am
- Starting September 10th until October 12th
- Ages 18+
Tell Your Story is a course for the storytellers in all of us. Over six weekly, 90-minute sessions, participants will uncover and explore the creation of their own 10-minute play through prompts, writing exercises, group discussion and dramaturgical feedback. Students will complete the course with a polished first-draft of their play, considering the fundamentals of theme, style, structure, form and rhythm. Though fundamental in its approach, this course is suitable for both beginners as well as experienced writers who are hungry to unlock their next epic idea and who seek to benefit from a collaborative, communal setting. Though a public reading of work may be considered, it is not mandatory for participation.
Sliding Scale pricing, $90 to $180 for 6 weeks, plus materials fee.
