About The Belleville Arts Festival Play Writing Competition
Do you have a passion for history and storytelling? Are you ready to bring your ideas to life? River & Main Theatre Company at Theatre in The Wings is now accepting submissions of original, un-produced plays of any length for the 2025 Belleville Arts Festival Play Writing Competition!
This year's theme is “The Moodie Era in Belleville: 1840-1879," capturing the essence of life in Belleville during a period marked by rapid growth, industrialization, and inspired by Canadian writer Susanna Moodie. The winning entries will be brought to life in a rehearsed staged reading in November 2025 at Theatre in the Wings. Don't miss this chance to see your work performed on stage and celebrated by the community.

Deadline to submit your script is September 15, 2025 (Midnight EDT)
