About Winter Studio Residency
Melt Studio + Gallery is excited to announce that this winter, the gallery will be offering 5 spots for an artist studio residency, starting in January and running until the end of April 2025. Rentals start at $250/month plus HST. Please note that these spaces are private and not open to the public, providing artists with a dedicated environment to focus on their own work. These spaces are not intended for classes or workshops.
At the end of the residency, the 5 participating artists will have the opportunity to display at least one work, which will be curated into the Melt Artist Group show in May 2025.
Each studio space is approximately 200 square feet. There are 2 closed rooms available for $300/month plus HST, and 3 spaces in the open studio area for $250/month plus HST. Heating and electricity are included.
Studio hours are from 7 AM to 11 PM daily, with access to a shared kitchen equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, and fridge. Water is provided in jugs for drinking. Please note that there is no onsite plumbing, but nearby porta-potties are available.
The gallery requires a minimum of 4 artists to run this program.
