About Youth Craft Academy: Gardiner Museum Field Trip
FIELD TRIP to the Gardiner Museum in Toronto with Ceramics instructors Rebecca Heasman & Amy Beaudroit
For this special, one day event, participants will visit the Gardiner Museum in Toronto with Ceramics Level II course instructors Rebecca Heasman & Amy Beaudroit for a guided tour of the museum and a hands-on learning experience, called Sculpted Identities, an educational program that carries course ideas into a new space, asking how ceramic objects hold the personal and cultural identity of the people who made and used them. Level II course participants are strongly encouraged to attend the field trip in addition to the weekly on-site classes at the County Arts Lab.
The group, led by course instructors and YCA Program Lead, Allison, will depart from the County Arts Lab on Friday November 20th bright and early at 7am and drive to Toronto with a professional coach service. Meals and snacks will be provided prepared by local caterers. The group will return to the County Arts Lab at approximately 5pm. This opportunity is for anyone aged 12 - 17, no previous YCA course participation is required, but priority will be given to youth registered in the Ceramics Level II Fall course.
